Our Story

After spending years in successful corporate careers,  the dream of entrepreneurship was too strong for us to ignore.  We scoured the web for the perfect business, one that would allow us to pursue our passion for travel and would give us the free time to enjoy the outdoor activities that we love.

And so, we did what made logical sense at the time, we purchased a travel agency franchise.  Our new agency "Tropical Vibes Travel" was born. We were excited about the possibilities and pictured ourselves traveling the world in style all while making a comfortable living from our business.

Things did not quite work out as planned. We never quite hit our stride and, although we were busy, the agency did not afford us much change in our lifestyle. After all, if we were off galivanting around the globe, who was going to take care of our customers?

Most of our friends and family supported our travel dream and did what they could to support us. As part of our customer service strategy, every time someone booked a trip with us, we would send them a goodie bag full of Tropical Vibes branded hats and tees. It soon became apparent that what our customers really wanted from us was less travel and more Tropical Vibes swag!

Soon we were fielding more calls for Tropical Vibes hats, than for travel. It did not take us long to realize that we needed to go in a different direction and thus Tropical Vibes was born.

Since those first hats, we have worked to source products that we think capture the spirit of Tropical Vibes. Through color, function, and design our products are intended to invoke a smile and that sense of "ahhh" that comes from being in the tropics.

We understand that everyone has their own vision of paradise, relaxing on a beautiful sun-drenched beach, kayaking on a cerulean blue sea, sipping an exotic drink at an open-air bar, or hiking through a remote rainforest to an unspoiled waterfall.
